Vagus Nerve Dysfunction

The Vagus Nerve will not work well in the presence of acute or chronic injury or infection, or physical or emotional trauma.

Vagus nerve dysfunction can manifest in a variety of symptoms, impacting both physical and emotional well-being. Common symptoms include digestive issues like abdominal pain, bloating and nausea; cadiovascular problems such as dizziness, fainting, and changes in heart rate; and issues with speech and swallowing due to its influence on the throat and vocal cords. Additionally, vagus nerve dysfunction can contribute to chronic pain, headaches, and even anxiety and depression.

POTS

Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) is a condition where a change in posture, usually from lying down to standing, causes an abnormally large increase in heart rate. This is accompanied by other symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and fatigue. POTS is often related to Vagus Nerve Dysfunction, mold infection, and chronic viral infection.

    • Excessive Heart Rate Increase:
A hallmark of POTS is a significant rise in heart rate when transitioning from lying down to standing.
    • Orthostatic Intolerance:
The inability to comfortably stand for extended periods due to symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, and fatigue.
    • Varied Symptoms:
POTS symptoms can range from mild to severe and may include palpitations, brain fog, gastrointestinal issues, and even fainting.
  • Triggers:
Symptoms are often triggered by changes in posture, exercise, and even stress.
